NATO information centre opened in UzhNU
Representatives of the Republic of Lithuania visited Zakarpattya to establish cooperation in the region and, in particular, inform local people about NATO activity. For this purpose NATO information centre has been opened in Uzhhorod National University.
Previously, such a center existed at the university, but its activities were suspended. Initiative of its revival occurred due to the fact that the Lithuanian Embassy in Ukraine is the NATO contact point Embassy in Ukraine in 2015-2016. The centre will be headed by the associate professor of the department of the History of Hungary and European Integration of UzhNU Inna Turyanytsya.
The Centre's mission is to inform the community of the importance of collective security. People can already familiarize themselves with various materials about NATO - from the head of NATO reports over previous years to caricatures of the facts hindering cooperation.
