The list of specializations the faculty trains for

Nowadays the faculty of biology of the State Higher Educational Establishment “Uzhhorod National University” is one of the leading faculties of the main higher educational establishments of Transcarpathia.

Students are trained in the following specializations:

• biology: bachelor – qualification “Bachelor of biology”; Laboratory assistant (biological research); specialist – qualification  “Lecturer of biology in secondary educational establishments”; 

master – qualification  “Lecturer of biology in a higher educational establishment”;

• agronomy: bachelor – qualification  “Production engineer in agronomy”; 

specialist – qualification  “A specialist in growing fruit, vegetables and vine”; 

master – qualification  “Researcher in growing fruit, vegetables and vine”.

The faculty of biology  of the State Higher Educational Establishment “Uzhhorod National University” provides gradual training of specialists: “bachelor“ – the period of study is 4 years (8 semesters), “specialist” – the period of study is 1 year, “master” – the period of study is 1 year on the basis of the educational qualificational level of “bachelor”. At the same time, students majoring in 6.040102 – “Biology” extensively specialize in five subjects (day-time students): botany, zoology, plant physiology, entomology, bioecology while extramural students specialize in: botany, zoology, plant physiology, entomology, microbiology. Students majoring in “Biology” are divided according to their specializations during the 3rd year (day-time) and 4th year of studies (extramural).
