Lyudmyla Symochko represented UzhNU at the international conference in Albania

9th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF ECOSYSTEMS” took place in Tirana (Albania) from 7 to 10 June 2019 and was devoted to the research of natural and transformed ecosystems, biodiversity conservation and environmental protection.

 The conference was organized with the support of the International Association for Environmental Protection and Healthcare, as well as with the participation of the leading universities of the United States of America, Italy, Albania, Turkey, Germany, and Macedonia. Lyudmyla Symochko, associate professor of the Department of Entomology and Biological Diversity Conservation of the Faculty of Biology of UzhNU, senior research specialist at the Scientific Research and Educational Center of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology of Mucous Membrane, was invited as a keynote speaker and a member of the international scientific committee. At the plenary meeting, she presented the report "SOIL MICROBIOME OF FOREST ECOSYSTEMS: DIVERSITY AND FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS", which highlighted the results of a long-term research of the soil microbiome of virgin forest ecosystems. The speaker was awarded with the diploma for the best presentation.

In general, the conference was attended by the scientists from 10 countries. The fruitful work of the conference culminated in the discussion of further international scientific collaboration in the study of the functioning of ecosystems between Uzhhorod National University and the universities of the USA, Albania, Italy, Turkey, and Germany.
