UzhNU organized international conference on the positive impact of establishment and activity of the European territorial associations

On Friday, September 20, 2019, an international conference "The Positive Impact of the Establishment and Activity of European Territorial Associations on the Economic Development of the European Union and its External Borders" was held at Uzhhorod National University. The event was initiated and organized by the Law Faculy of UzhNU, Tisza EGTC, the Transcarpathian Regional Council, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Council (Hungary), Kishvarda self-governing body (Hungary) the Institute of Economic and Legal Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and the Central-European Service for Cross-Border Initiatives (Hungary).

 The conference was attended by the Vice-Rector of UzhNU for International Relations Myroslava Lendel, the Dean of the Faculty of Law of UzhNU Yaroslav Lazur, the Deputy Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Yosyp Borto, the Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Oleksiy Hetmanenko, the Director and the Deputy Director of Tisza EGTC Andrea Szabone Cap and Yudita Yevchak, foreign guests, teachers and students of UzhNU.

Tisza EGTC is a unique project for both Ukraine and the European Union, as this is for the first time that the region of Ukraine, which is not an EU member-state, became a participant of the European Neighborhood Instrument, which seeks to develop regional co-operation for the implementation of specific economic, investment, environmental, cultural, educational and infrastructure development projects.
